- Ian Field + Astrid Kirchner co-founded Urbaneer in 06 as a MBA project. Urbaneer is a creative hub that facilitates creative urban engagement and exploration. Ian has a Masters Degree in Sport History and Culture. His Masters dissertation focussed on the evolution of creative leisure activities within the urban environment and their relationship with space and place, subcultral composition, the cultural construction of identity, economic structures and political meaning. He also has a BSc Management Studies and currently works in London in the marketing communications industry. Astrid, originally from Austria, has been in London since 2002. Her first degree is in “Environmental Sciences & Geography” and she spend two years in US as part of her degree. Urbaneer has grown out of a project called “Living In A Tubemap” which encourages Londoners to be tourists in London. In 2005 Astrid took part in Europan. In 2008 She finished her MBA, specialising in Creativity & Innovation and a coaching foundation course. Before travelling Astrid worked in executive development for 7yrs, most recently she developed & led the Financial Talent Executive Network(www.icaew.com/f-ten).
