After a long holiday drought things are starting the get exciting with three trips on three consecutive weekends. First up Karina's & Vinay's colourful Indian wedding! Sherry came over from Tokyo and we met up after midnight at the airport given our flights arrived around the same time. Great to see her again in person after a couple of years just talking almost daily.
Wedding started early on Friday 13th with the Indian Ceremony at the temple near Karina's house. Followed by some down-time before the Bollywood party in the evening. The ceremony in the temple involved the traditional rituals (i.e. walking around the fire) and was conducted in Sanscrit and followed by a buffet with tasty Indian food. Sherry & I then headed over to the office to meet up with everyone and especially Debby. We sneaked in a Singapore Sling at Raffles hotel :). Ian went to work meetings as well and got a tour around the sportshub being built. After a quick refresh in our hotel we all - together with Monisha, one of Karina's new colleagues and who expertly helped manage Sherry's Sari - headed over the Labrador Gardens for the Civil Ceremony and Bollywood party complete with Bangra Dancers. A very lovely and colourful day!
On Saturday we went on a shopping spree in Little India (after breakfast the the Fish head curry place) before meeting up with Jasmine & Amiko in the Botanical Gardens. In the evening we headed for food with Karina & Family, plus for drinks at the Fullerton with amazing views over to Marina Bay Sands
