We reckon one of our best holiday's ever! It had the excitement of travelling and totally reignited our travel bug. In the space of ~10 days we went to all the 3 different countries on Borneo - Derawan (Indonesia), Mt Kinabalu (Malaysia) & Brunei and had a varied mix of awesome impressions. All three destinations were distinctly different and fantastic in their own right:
- Derwan: Astrid's obsession with the no-stingy jellyfish led us to explore this very remote island where turtles swim past the pier.
- Mt. Kinabalu: A two day trek to watch the sunrise at 4095.2m high Low's peak. It was hard work, tiring and amazing.
- Brunei: The mysterious rich sultanate where over 20,000 people live on a water village. We found an amazing spot to watch the sunset over the mosque with the call to evening prayer as a musical backdrop
